Ahrefs site overview at the six-month mark. The property name is cropped out. The numbers are not.
Starting point
Where the domain began
A domain with no authority signal
The site started with effectively no link profile. Nothing was ranking in a position that produced traffic, which meant rankings could not be improved; they had to be created.
Six months as the measurement window
Link and content work does not report usefully month to month. We set six months as the window because that is roughly how long it takes for new pages and new referring domains to settle into stable positions.
One measurement tool, consistently
Everything below is read from the same Ahrefs property across the period. Mixing tools mid-campaign makes numbers look better than they are, so we did not.
The work
What the six months consisted of
Content built around what gets searched
Pages written to answer queries the audience actually types, each one targeting a cluster rather than a single keyword. 283 ranking keywords across the site is the cumulative result of that clustering, not of 283 separate pages.
Links earned, not bought in bulk
212 referring domains at Domain Rating 39 is a profile built from relevant placements. A cheaper profile of the same size would show a higher domain count and worse rankings.
Internal linking to concentrate authority
New referring domains are only worth what they pass on. Internal links were structured so that authority arriving on any page reaches the pages meant to rank.
Top-three positions as the target
23 keywords in the top three matters more than 283 ranking keywords. Positions four and below produce a fraction of the clicks, so the reporting was weighted towards moving terms into the top three rather than adding new ones.

Takeaway
What this case shows
Authority compounds, traffic follows
4.8K visits a month from 23 top-three keywords is the point where organic search starts paying for itself. The traffic curve moves after the authority curve, not with it.
A mid-range Domain Rating is enough to win
39 is not a high Domain Rating. It is enough to rank in the top three for the right terms, because relevance and content quality decide those positions once the authority threshold is cleared.
The number that matters is top-three count
If you take one metric from this page, take 23. Ranking keyword counts and Domain Rating are inputs. Top-three positions are what produced the visits.
