The Pakistani web is thin in exactly the places an AI assistant looks. Most businesses have a Facebook page, a WhatsApp number and no structured record of what they do or where. When someone asks an assistant for a recommendation, the answer is assembled from whatever public, crawlable, credible material exists. For most local businesses that material does not exist.
This is a gap rather than a problem. Competition for AI citations in Pakistani categories is close to nothing, and the work is the same work that improves ordinary local rankings.
What is usually missing
A Facebook page and an Instagram grid are not a source an assistant can quote. A small site with clear pages outperforms a large social following here.
The business is spelled three ways across Google, Facebook and a directory. The assistant cannot tell whether these are one business or three, so it names someone unambiguous.
No reviews it can read, no third-party mentions, nothing that establishes the business is real and competent beyond its own claims.
Customers search both ways. Most Pakistani sites cover one and lose the other.
What the work covers
- Entity foundation. LocalBusiness schema with a consistent name, address, phone and service area, matched exactly across your site, Google Business Profile and every directory that lists you.
- Google Business Profile. Completed properly: categories, service list, hours, photos, and a review flow that actually produces reviews. This feeds both the local pack and the assistants.
- Answer pages for local questions. The questions your customers actually ask, answered on your own site with prices, timelines and constraints stated plainly. Vague pages do not get quoted.
- Bilingual coverage where it pays. Core service pages in English for citation reach, and in Urdu where the customer is more likely to search that way.
- Local citations. Getting named on the Pakistani directories, chambers and industry lists that carry enough authority to be treated as evidence.
Cities we work across
Hafizabad is home, and most of the local work has been done here first. Beyond it we run the same programme for businesses in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Islamabad and Karachi, and the method does not change with the city.
Questions we get asked
Do people in Pakistan actually use ChatGPT to find businesses?
Increasingly, and disproportionately among the customers worth having: urban, English-literate, and researching a purchase rather than an impulse buy. The volume is still small next to Google, and it is growing quickly.
Should our content be in Urdu or English?
English gets cited more often today, because the training and retrieval data leans that way. Urdu matters for reach and will matter more over time. Where budget allows we write the core pages in both.
We only serve one city. Is this worth doing?
Often more so. A single-city business competes against a handful of others in the answer set, not thousands. Local questions are among the easiest to become the answer to.
How does this relate to Google Business Profile?
Closely. A complete, consistent profile is one of the strongest signals that your business exists and does what it claims. Assistants lean on the same public record Google does.
What does it cost in rupees?
The same tiers as everywhere else, billed in rupees, with instalments available on the annual commitment. There is no separate local rate card.
How long does it take?
Local answers tend to move faster than competitive commercial ones. Eight to twelve weeks is typical for a single-city business with a clean profile.
